What is an integrative health coach?

A health coach is your personal health cheerleader, guide and partner. We help you implement lifestyle changes to improve your physical, mental and emotional health.

What does an integrative health coach do?

Utilizing the Duke Integrative Medicine Wheel of Health, we partner with you to clarify goals, create and take action steps and enhance personal accountability to move forward in your health goals. We help you identify obstacles to change and strategies for forward movement in these goals. We focus on all areas of the Wheel of Health including:

  • Physical Environment

  • Nutrition & Lifestyle

  • Mental & Emotional Well-being

  • Sleep & Rest

  • Physical Activity & Exercise

  • Fulfillment & Purpose

If one of those areas is out of balance, it’s likely the others are as well. Someone who isn’t very physically active may also be stressed, not sleeping well at night or not eating well. Combined, it can feel overwhelming.

What is it like to work with a health coach?

We help you create goals by guiding you through through stages of self-discovery, while providing accountability at the same time. During our partnership, you remain the expert in your life, values, and fulfillment and we work with you as an expert in the coaching process.
This holistic approach supports you through the journey to creating, maintaining and thriving in your best health in ways most meaningful to you.
